Trying Something New
I am not entirely sure where I'm going to go with this blog, but I really wanted an area where I could organize my thoughts about things that I like and ideas I'd like to try. I also wanted to have a record for myself of decorating and home improvement projects, befores and afters, etc. Blogs seem to be an easy way for me to organize and track things, and with the ability to transfer them into a book at some point, I've become a huge fan. It's also possible that I just wanted another beautiful template from Shabby Creations.
I chose this title because I thought it best described my style, if I have such a thing. "Hodgepodge" may be more like it. :-) I've also been inspired by some "lovely" blogs that I came across. One in particular happens to be a girl that went to my high school, la la lovely things. She, and those on her blogroll, post lots of pretty things and ideas and they're really fun to look at. While I think this will be more specific to my own home, ideas and goals, I've definitely been inspired by some of those blogs.
So, feel free to read, or not. :-)

I actually decided yesterday that I'm going to start one to chronicle the garden trials and tribulations.
I can't wait to read more from you! I love your taste and ideas, and can't wait for them to have their own forum!!
Amy, you should totally start a gardening blog! You have done amazing things this year...dried tomatoes, sunflower seeds..it's crazy.
Also, I still check in occasionally with "I tried this and...." :-) I love that one.

I won a contest on another blog, and she sent me two BEAUTIFUL handmade pillows with buckwheat hulls and lavender inside. OH MY GOSH the smell was intoxicating and the patterns are beautiful. It made me want my own little den or room (or even a chair) where I could hog all the smell and cuteness to myself. Charlotte immediately eyeballed the little one and said it is JUST RIGHT for dolls and I snapped at her and said, "IT'S MOMMY'S!!" like a 4 year old. Sigh.

Sara, this blog is such a good idea. I was just thinking the other day how I should start cutting and (literally) pasting decorating ideas I like in a notebook. A blog is a more modern idea than a notebook! I love all of the ideas so far. Keep them coming! :-)
